Ninety percent of photogrpahers prefer to use natural light to shoot portraits. However, 90 percent of photo buyers are sick and tired of seeing this approach to portraits. They are looking for something different, something fresh, something newish. This means for any photographer to stand out he or she must not only choose creative angles, locations and props, but must use creative lighting. This workshop was designed by Kevin Vandivier who has used this technique for many national magazines and has written articles nationally about this very subject.

Come ready to learn how to shoot with a flash off camera. Your instructor will show you how to shoot portraits with a single flash via a live shoot. With what you learn, you will be equipped to shoot portraits like you never have before!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Besides a true desire to learn, you will need your camera equipment. You might also want to bring a pen and pad just in case something is worthy of writing down.
